To Protect her little brothers from the very real danger they're in, a quick-thinking ten-year-old girl convinces them to be knights in a great make-believe adventure.
Synopsis:
The sounds of partying and gambling ring throughout the house. When ten year old Ana can’t get her two younger brothers to quiet down for bed time, she engages them in a fantasy adventure game in order to avoid the harsh dangers of punishment from their father.
Her brothers, the knights, protect her (and she them) as they try to escape the castle before the ‘ogre’ can catch them. Dashing through great halls and avoiding evil knights, they finally make their way to their safe haven, an enchanted bamboo forest, only to discover the desolate ‘reality’ of what truly awaits them.
Why this story:
This story is about the healing powers of make-believe and the magic of a child's mind. It is a fantastic tale used to mirror the real life darkness of the world.
This story will be Salieu Sidique's second film as a director and third as a producer. People who watch this film will note how fragile innocence and how strong children are when facing adversity.
